As the Trauma Medical Director at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, I provided direct oversight and mentorship to the trauma administrative staff for multiple awards and accolades for the Trauma Program.
• 2015 – Developed Trauma Service and Emergency General Surgery combined
call model.
• 2016 – Only Non-Trauma Center to receive an award from the ACS-TQIP for Process Improvement for the development and implementation of The OFI System which was selected for podium presentation at the National TQIP Conference in 2016 which subsequently won the abstract podium presentation award in Process Improvement.
• 2017 – Achieved Full ACS Verification and Florida Department of Health Level 2 Trauma Center Designation within 17 months of implementation of the Trauma Service.
• 2017 TCAA “Hot Shots” Podium Presentation “Complete Trauma Charting and Best Practice.
• 2018 National TQIP Conference Abstract Podium Presentations for Process Improvement within the Trauma Administrative Department and an update to The OFI System.
